Oil Tanks - Belt and Braces approach.
The Problem:
I have one tank (at this house) which is nearly empty and another (at another property) which has enough to keep me going for a month or so. I need to transfer the oil from the other house to this one but I'm short of an oil tanker and driver and I'm too tight to splash out.
Any good ideas as to how I can get the oil transferred using some ingenuity (of which I have none), a Landy, some brute force and presumably some containers of some sort. I'm worried about contaminating the oil if I use some old drums I have.
Answers on a postcard please.

Mods. Wrong forum I know, so if you see this before Shaun can you move it to NSR please.
Ali - thanks for info. Anyone know where I can get some disused drums from to put the oil in that won't contaminate it?

Try a local farmer, if you know any, they will have loads of red diesel drums (usually) borrow a few of them and use them to transport the heating oil. The contamination should be minimal
