Time for a new phone - whats the smallest out there?
Hi, me old 6100 is looking rather sorry for itself and I'm due for an upgrade so:
I noticed lots of phones these days have gone up in overall size and are much larger with all the bloatware that seems to be stuffed inside of them. And one thing I hate is a huge heavy brick to stick in my pocket!
I'm not really interested in video, windows mobile, cameras, mp3 etc - as it usually costs to use it!
I was thinking the Motorola Razr V3 - seems about the right size.
Is there anything else about???
Also when is the new nokia 8800 due out - as that seems a likely contender.
otehrwise I'm stuck for ideas, a little help please!
PP

I got a V3, mostly on size grounds, although I don't like non-flip phones at all so choice is limited.
Battery life seems good - I only charge it at work and had no problems over the long weekend, for example.
Wouldn't surprise me if there's a smaller phone out there though. Possibly not a thinner one mind you.

Cheers...looks like the V3 is the only option then, I had a play with one and quite like the feel of it and menu system seems ok too.
Nobody seems believe me when I say phones have got bigger? The nokia 6100 or 8310 are both obsolete (both of which I had) and all of the phones since that supercede them are a fair chunk bigger with the V3 being the only exception I know of. Suppose everybody wants a camera and videos in their phones these days!
Bartop - no ta, but thanks anyway...I'm on contract, so they'll give it me free if I threaten to swap network Now if it were a 8800 I may take you up on that, as I very much doubt I will be able get one of them for free! Does anyone know what the release date is?

Really like my V3, fits in pockets fine as its so flat, and battery life is excellent.
Also not that interested in video/camera etc, but as a bonus, the camera is above average, and its a generally easy phone to use, thou after a Nokia, texting takes a bit of getting used to.
Ony downside, which may not bother you anyway, is that the memory is only 5MB, so if you plan on loading MP3 ring tones, loads of pics, and a few vids, it'll be full before long.
