Chewbacca
Kind of lost interest in Star Wars after the last film but have just seen the current trailer.
I wasn't really paying attention but I got the impression that Chewbacca's face at least was/is computer generated. Is this the case??

about 8/900 years apparently.
If they hav computer generated his face I will be disgsuted.
Is it just me or does anyone else think the original 3 with puppets and paintde back drops and models looked far more realistic and believable?
Anyone want to tell lucas this?

I think the majority would certainly agree with you Adam.
Having puppets, even dodgy puppets, that actors can properly interact with is still far superior to CG characters.
Take Jabba as an example. He was a great puppet (?), looked brilliant and the fact that he was a solid lump enabled Leia to physically throttle the life out of him. What a woman!
Lucas, the Div, Digitally remasters his original 3 films and throws in a CG Jabba - scale goes out of the window, the big boy starts sliding round the place with Han Solo tripping over his tail and nobody makes proper eye contact any more.
Backdrops and sets gain very little from this treatment as well. I loved Yodas little batchelor pad in the Dagobah system. You could really get a feel for the place. Now everything is huge, beautiful, spotless and without any feeling. Most of it also blurrs when it moves or scrolls past.
I mean honestly!!

I have just read that Chewbacca was born on Kashyyyk over two centuries before the Battle of Yavin.
It would seem the lanky freaks live quite a while.
