Penicillin (sp??) + Alcohol = ???
can i drink alcohol whilest taking penicillin???

looking forward to a quality Sunday night, not gonna go 'too' mad on the drink
just that i got rather p1ssed whilst taking a very strong brand of prescription pain killers and was violently ill for 4 days!!
found out later that pain killer is used to get Alcoholics of the drink as it'll make em that ill they wont touch it again!

You can drink as much as you like taking penicillin......... all that happens is that the increased urine output due to drinking leads to you pi$$ing the penicillin out of your system.
There is a drug called Probenecid that blocks excretion of penicillin into the urinary tract but I doubt if your GP will prescibe it out of sympathy ...LOL
