Yep. They should all point in towards the centre. Becomes obvious if any nuts have loosened.

You can point them anyway you like as long as you remember how they are supposed to be. Seen various methods, all to the middle, point to point, all pointing the same way in a circle.

But the main thing is it's, as already stated, a visual check for wheel nut security.

I recall now, seeing them face to face point to point.

You're all wrong!!

These drivers are even MORE **** than us Scoobynetters!

The reason they are there is because someone, a few years ago, on the LorryNet BBS stated that 'TinyTim' the Lorry Expert at TinyTim Motors, Cleethorpes had told him that he said seen a huge number of Lorry Wheels come off following the Oil Change.

Apparently, these lorries were being serviced in the Old Fashioned way - NOT the new age **** way ............. the engines were started straight after an Oil Change. No dancing round the lorry dressed as a Morris Dancer

Consequently, the wheels were falling off within 2 or 3 miles of the Oil Change .... the plastic indicators are actually supplied with the Oil and Filter set.

They tell the world that the **** Oil Change has been followed
