Just got mine !!
Hi,
Just got one of these - For the money it is excellent !! It does what it says on the tin ! It has all the fixed sites in it's database. You can add your own points (for mobile sites etc) if you want. It's only got to save you once and it's nearly paid for itself.
There are no fancy bits to it. One downside is that it alerts to cameras both sides of the road but hey... If it gives you an alert then you can usually see which side of the road its on ! There are a couple of cameras near me - I know where they are and although you think you are going 'slow' but you can easily drift over the limit.... ;-)
You can change the advance warning (It's default is 20 seconds before the camera) as it's speed dependent not distance. I think I'm going to reduce mine a bit. You just need to find a camera in your local area then drive past it a few times to get an idea of times etc. !!
It was easy to set up and free updates for a year...
You pays your money and takes your choice !!! I couldn't justify spending 400 quid on the more expensive units but this is a great cheap alternative.
I have an MY03 WRX and it fits perfectly in front of the clock so no sticky pads or brackets etc
Hope this helps !!
