how much tax and N.I should be deducted?

Can anyone enlighten me on how much tax and national insurance should be deducted from your salary each month?
I seemed to have paid one hell of alot of tax for 6 weeks work.
can you help?

Try the inland revenue website - all the allowances are there.

Depends on the tax code they've used etc etc.
