bugger just.........
....failed my first test
in the spirit of the rallye it was for speeding
coming down a hill in a 30 with a lorry pushing i crept up to 35 and notice so applies the brake to slow down and as i did that he said "im going to have to ask you to slow down"
he obviously considered it a serious fault
instructor said it should have been a minor as his other students have been given two chances.
other than that it was 4 minors, so definately next time

i got 4 minors for various speed related things...
Care in the use of speed i think i got 2 minors for, and another 2 for speed on approach to junctions.
Still, passed first time, and not far off 9 years later (9
) still have a clean licence and 0 stuffs 
If it was down a hill, that would maybe appear to be a little bit harsh (if it was gravitys fault anyway)- especially if you were already braking.
You could always appeal it, or just get the next available slot and do it again.
