Default reliable car data / mpg etc

looking to source an oil burner to take on the daily work run,

have looked at and turned down several based on specs provided from the current crop of "knowledgeable sites"

one in question gives an mpg of 45 for one engine in the specs, and then turns round and says 35 in another review confusing....

the other site quotes 30mpg for the same engine..

can ayone reccomend a site that gives accurate data that can help make a reasoned choice,

models reviewed so far and rejected..

Fiat marea 1.9td
Seat cordoba 1.9d
peugeot 406 1.9TD
Vauxhall Omega 2.5TD

anone had one of these or any accurate info on them economy wise

or can reccomend a decent family sized diesel that has good fuel ecconomy
