I dunno, but I'd buy one of those little inflatable donut things as sitting down may be painful for a while after.

5 to 8 Points and a fine. (3 for the red light, but the due care is more serious so they will concentrate on that when sentencing)

If you did it, I'd plead guilty by post - send a grovelling apologetic letter with the plea and cross your fingers. Wouldn't fancy a day in court being made to feel a right chav.

I didn't think it was possible to get a ban for due care and attention - the range is 3-9 points. I would expect the fewer the points the bigger the fine though. Surely your solicitor can give you an idea of what you might get then?

I got prosecuted for Driving without due care and attention (CD10) 4 years ago and they gave me 7 points and a £300 fine, on the same day they also gave me AC10 +£300 fine and AC20 with no fine.

Lucky me!!
Currently trying to get out of 3 points for speeding

get the solicitor to make a plea of gulty on the red light and not guilty on the Due care and attention. They may just accept that to avoid the court time.
