i use zymol and think its brilliant-doesnt leave much residue like a lot of polishes do.the standard polish is about £12 in halfords or yoy could go for concours glaze at £145 a jar!! (not avaliable at halfords!)

gave up on auto glym recently and switched to meguiars. very impressed with the tech wax and less effort required than with the auto glym in my experience

Some branches of Halfords have started stocking Meguiars, which is good stuff. Otherwise it's best to go online for it.
People will recommend Zymol, Swissol etc etc, and that's fine, but remember that it's all in the preparation. You're going to have to wash, clay, polish, seal and wax.

Cheers dudes!
I don't like Autoglym, I've used it before and found it hard work and not that good! This here Meguiars sounds good and I like the sound of clay bars, I'll look into mail order cos my local Halfrauds don't do it!
Thanks!

another for meguiars, but the professional stuff, show car glaze number 7 polish which has no dust and buffs with no effot, followed by hi-tech yellow wax number 26 again easy to buff off and only a small amount of dust. and the good thing about it is it priced quite cheaply think i paid about £12 for each bottle. i used the claybar to prepare it which was ammazing.

See Supertourings car in members gallery,
Its all about prep.... several hours infact....
Any wax would have looked good, but it helps to use a good brand of product.
In this case a glaze and polymer sealant.

OK, I'm gonna try Boxst's idea cos it seems to come with polishing stockings too
Is it possible to buy swissol for less than a kabillion dollars?

Very common mis-conception that Swissol is expensive !
The initial expenditure is a fair amount of money but it lasts & lasts & costs approx £1.50 a week over its life !
I wouldnt expect any other products to be much cheaper than that ! Plus you are buying a product that has won tests in Both Max power & Classic & sports car this year already !
Thats both ends of the spectrum isnt it !
Plus how many people pay £6 to have their car cleaned with a gritty sponge in a car park !
