I was looking last year, February and early March were very cheap then too; I could have had a flight to Perth with two internals for £465, by the time I came to book a red eye cost nearly £700. Id suggest looking at a RTW ticket as you can go all over with these people and the price will surprise you.

When I booked my flight via lastminute.com, I got a twelve month open return for 600 GBP IIRC flying out early February, with a night stop over in Langkawi. (All flights to Langkawi from KL airport paid for including accomodation ).
I will be surprised if you get one cheaper than 500. You will more than likely be lookingg at the 6-700 mark. Sometimes it pays to hold off, but my mum has always found that booking well in advance to Australia (she has been I think 6 times now maybe more) is the best policy.
Certainly booking interstate flights is cheaper three or more months in advance. They are shocking prices!!!!!
Good luck. My mum is in Adelaide right now.
Not sure where you are flying from, but try Qantas direct - I have selected it to be from UK to Aus..... http://www.qantas.com.au/regions/dyn...fier-region-uk

Mum has been to Australia several times, and she always books well in advance as LMWRX says above.
She's boked a few times through Airline Network, though i think she usually deals with them over the phone.
There's usually loads of deals on teletext to look at as well.
John.
