The simplest one is just to drink as much water as you can before you turn in, or pass out The problem is remembering to do even that so put a large jug of water on the bedside table and you might just remember.

Plus put a note on the wardrobe door with a sign saying "Loo over there" with appropriate arrow

before bed take 2 nurofen plus, as much water as you can drink and a sachet of dirolyte. works for me.
