If anyone could really answer that question then they'd be a very rich person!
Plus, if you could somehow 'prove' that someone was the right one, then where would be the mystery and the adventure?
I absolutely, 100%, believe I'm with the right one - there's not that many wierdy nutters in the world who could cope with me!
Sometime's it helps if you've seen what 'wrong' looks like though - it really gives you something to compare it too.

You need 3 'right' ones through life, is my opinion.
#1. Romance, life, passion, youth, madness .....
#2. Partner for parenting children, solid, stable ......
#3. Partner to die with, grow old together, talk, talk, talk, visit places, contentment ....
If you can get all 3 in 1 then you are probably the luckiest person alive, the divorce rate shows that we need different people at different times in life ...
Well, thats my take on it anyway!

I too believe I am with the right one, I too have seen enough 'wrong' to know this is the right person for me. I didn't look for it, he came to me. He asked me out and I originally thought 'no, I can't be arsed with it', as my previous 'boyfriends' caused a lot of problems for me, especially the last one. I am glad I eventually did now as it is totally different from anything else I have experienced (so much so we have just bought a house, we are getting married on 24 June and baby is due on 1 October )
I don't think you actually know the one you are with is actually the one until you take the time to step back and look at how they have affected your life, whether it be positive or negative.
Take my situation for example; I am a LOT closer to my parents now, I never used to be. Now, I am on my last day after staying at their house for a week helping my mum spring clean for all the renovation work thats going on while the other half is away for work in Slough! I used to be a good time girl, I liked the booze and certain class A narcotics - even before I fell pregnant I lost interest in them. The biggie for me was that I managed to come off the anti-depressants; this person makes me at one with myself. They have brought out the real me, the person I like being. They may not necessarily affect you to this extent, but if someone can make things better for you effortlessly, as you do for them, then surely this person is for you?
