Barcelona Hotel - which area to stay?
Thinking about a few days in Barcelona in early April - I can find loads of deals but not sure which area to stay. Prefer something near restaurants and shops - is there a city centre?

Just came back froma 4 day stag weekend. We stayed here at the Hotel Euro Park. you can find it on Expedia.co.uk
Its a 3 star, clean tidy, 10 min walk to Plaza Da Catalunya/Top of Las Ramblas.
Taxi's are dirt cheap. If your a footie fan do the Barcelona Stduim Tour. 9 euros, fantastic value.

For good value for money, we stayed at the Citadines apartments on Las Ramblas itself - www.citadines.com - lots of different prices, but can be had for E115 per room per night
Couldn't be more central really
Top tips:
- the restaurant two doors away - The Attic
- get a two day pass for the open top buses, hop on and off, visiting the attractions as required
