Fantasy Palace, Shandwick Place (continuation of Princes St heading west).
Meets all your requirements as regards quality. Go between 5pm and 7pm, and you should avoid the entry fee (just ask for free tickets on the door).

Oh dear
I don't think they do 'high quality' strip joints in Edinburgh I do know, however, the best nightspots around the town - I will be more than willing to help with that

There's one called The Burke & Hare, not sure where it is exactly but it's easy to find. Go to a place called Grass Market (great place for pubs anyway) and ask one of the Bouncers where it is - it's just up the road from there. There are a few others dotted around but this is the one to go to. I wouldn't exactly call it classy, more seedy, but it's not rough or anything and the girls are 'top dollar' . One of the best nights out I've ever had, Edinburgh - ended up seperated from my group but that didn't matter, went with some other people and found a massive street party down some side road with live music and people doing the conga at about 3 in the morning!!
Just done a quick google on it:
The Burke and Hare can be found at the West Port (midway between the Grassmarket and Lothian Road.
Just don't look into who it's named after!

The Burke and Hare !!!
OMG !
Did I hear you say "it's not rough or anything" ?
Were you in the right place ? When I was there they were using the jukebox for music, the pool table for a stage and (according to the guy involved) skooshy cream that was off !
Not the best....but funny in its own strange way

The notorious Burke and Hare strip joint has been tarted up in an astonishing fashion, like it's been on a Changing Rooms Titty Bar Special
