Default Hornby Dublo (circa 1960's) worth anything?

as post title.
I've got a few Horby Dublo trains (passed down through the family)

nearly all boxed and all mint condition.

would they be worth anything?
or where can i find out about the 'classic' Hornby Train stuff to get an idea of value.

looking in model shops now you can get the same style trains and carages as i have.... (but new) and they seem to be £70+ for just the train!

tnx
Phil

As Pete says check ebay, mint/boxed 60's Dublo stuff goes for mad money. The later Wrenn versions of the same stuff seems to fetch a bit less.

Editted to say, can someone get me a doctor, I've just agreed with Pete

Aye, another vote for getting it properly valued.

The metal bodied Wrenn engines can make good money.

I'll keep looking at prices now... think some one was pulling a fast one offering £250 the lot!

You could take it into a model shop and ask them what it's worth.

Some dublo stuff is worth silly money.

Thumbs up

A Hornby Dublo collection in mint condition is worth hundreds per item, especially for the later diesel and electric loco,s which now seem to go for well in excess of £100 each. Best bet is to do some research on the particular items on ebay comleted listings. Alternatively there is a model train collectors book called Ramseys which for about a tenner will give you a fair idea of what each individual item is worth . Model shops don't usually offer much for second hand collections - akin to a lot of car traders, but you can guarantee they will put in the window at the true price.
Big G who posts on here sells train stuff on ebay so may be worth speaking to him.
