Organic products-worth the extra cost?
Have, for the first time, started buying organically produced red wine.
Costs about 30% more than the equivalent non organic brand.
Don't know whether it's placebo or not but tastes great and the morning after headache is much reduced??
Might become a real hippy and try some more organic stuff, milk veg etc.
Is it worth the extra?

We buy organic stuff fairly often (my choice since my wife doens't really care either way). My main reason is for the health of my daughter though. Anyway - my wife doesn't know in advance whether the food she is eating (be it bacon/vegetables/ham/fruit etc) is organic or not but so far seems to prefer the taste of the organic. This would be clased as "blind testing" I suppose...
It was nice to know recently that with that additive scare recently (name escapes me) none of the organic foods we had were effected by it...
Also when you read news reports about fruit being supplied to your children at school was found to be over the "safe" limit for pesticides you feel a little better that you know your child went to school with organic fruit and fruit juices.
I just wish there was more choice out there. Still very limited.

have been buying organic food for some time now.
apples are juicer and seem to last longer.
eggs dont smell as much (before and after eating)
I would imagine that the organic wine tastes better as it does not have cows blood (most french red wine does)
The way processed food is made is really scarey, they add so many chemicals to make it taste like real food it's unreal

I didn't know about cows blood either... but I don't see why organic wine would not contain this. All's they need to do is add organic cows blood?
It is natural after all...

What gets me is that back in the day all food was "organic" , then when additives and preservatives and other chemicals were put in they put the prices up. Now it costs more without the chemicals and its called "organic". Sounds like another marketing scam to me.
