Got my first 3 points just yesterday from those racist french gendarmes...FOUR months after I'd committed the infraction and paid the 90 euro fine.
And it wasn't even for going quick....it was in Mrs STi-Frenchie's RAV4. 3 points for not being able to get back into lane before the dashed white line went solid...and I was only 10 metres out! Connards!

wouldn't the poll be better - 0,3,4-5,6,7-9,10+, banned
It would give a better spread of answers...unless of course there is a max number of options on a poll.
Gareth (0 points by the way)

Ain't got any. Been driving since I was 18, now 30 and it's still clean.
Had a lucky escape the other week though, came from a national into a 50 zone, doing just over the limit (yep it was just over aswell !!) and there was a van, fiancee shouts slow down, I did, and it turned out the guy wasn't in the back anyway.
It's a stupid place to put a 50 limit, but I now make sure I'm doing 50 going through.
Fiancee has 6 points, she just lost 3 and then got caught again !!
Reckon I see a detector coming for her b/day present.

I've got none because I live in a country that doesn't do points. They do plan to introduce them but only for serious incidents i.e. not minor speeding offences.
If I lived in the UK, I reckon I'd have quite a few given my recent collection of fines, including:
78 in a 70
42 in a 30
35 in a 30
34 in a 30
65 in a 60
An illegal U turn
Would I be banned if I lived in the UK?

The other thread was discussing whether most people would have a single offence or multiple offences. You can get one or two points over here. Mostly for dopey thing. A mate got 2 for being warned about driving with his rear fogs on 5 times in three weeks. Went to magistrates court as it isn't covered by a fixed penalty. Got 2 points and £25.00 fine. Turmed out to be a short circut

Hell no, road angel is a better option, which I shall be purchasing shortly
Anyway I've been unlucky. Each time I've been caught, it's been by a sneaky copper hiding behind something. No van present or seen in good view on the last two And the last one I'm sure had no signage or warnings marked to say it was a monitored road.

Mind when the tw@t jumped out from behind the bridge to pull me over I nearly ran him over
And to pi$$ me off even more behind the bridge was a riot van 2 cars and about 8 coppers all at 1:30am !! Good to see our tax money going to good use !! Now I get 3 points on my licence for 4 years

Tell me about it the other 3 were at 5:45am on the way to work !!
The thing is people judge you for having 6 points on your licence as though you are a bad driver but how can you get 10 years NCB if you are that bad ??
And what are the point of setting up speed traps at those times in the morning ??
You don't see the coppers sat there at 9am when little kiddies are on their way to school !!!
3 on your licence for the purposes of totting up but 4 for the paper work

Now................none,
I drove, without incident/accident for the best part of 18 years, I can honestly say in that time I never even had 'a chat with a policeman', then in the space of 2 years I managed to collect nine, I then went to court, got banned (6 months) for "Totting up", and now I have a clean sheet

The Police only set up where you are likely to speed not where there is a dangerous situation! Obvious isn’t it? No point being some where that most people aren’t tempted to speed as they won’t make any profit.
If the camera van was parked outside a school at 9am week days most people are sensible enough not to speed plus the all the daft mothers block the road by parking every where blocking the road and causing poor visibility for the kids who are crossing the road by dodging between cars you see it regularly in London during the school run.
Meanwhile the camera vans are trapping the only bits of un-congested straight 30mph limit roads they can find to maximise the revenue they can earn. latter in the day they will move on to the now empty commuter routes to catch people late for meetings or working shifts who are doing 45 in a 40 on a three lane commuter route which is now empty of traffic and hence people are tempted to speed as they see a motorway road with a 30 or 40 limit. All good money making opportunities for the police.
