Question Anybody live near Dunsfold aerodrome?

I am supposed to be filming on the track there tomorrow. I know the weather is cr@p up here but what is it like there and what is the forcast for tonite and tomorrow.

I have tried to pull the shoot but the client seems hell bent on going ahead.

My main concern is ice/track temp. Our contact at Dunfold is away at the mo so i cannot get any sense out of them.

Many thanks

Paul

Is it still used as an aerodrome? There should be some info for pilots.

Otherwise, isn't it not a million miles from Gatwick?

I'm a few miles up the road in Guildford. Very light snow flurries ATM. None lying. They're forecasting quite a heavy fall overnight though.

This is the METAR for Farnborough, which is the closest to Dunsfold which won't have either this or a TAF due to it's size.

Basically it's saying that this evening will be snow showers, with a temperature below freezing, cloud cover broken to full cover with a wind speed of 7 kts coming from the North North East and a pressure of 1014 mb.

In other words, don't fly if you're in a spam can.

John, you're a braver man than I am. With VFR only, I take a very cautious approach - what you'd call a fair weather pilot.
