Everyone knows the best ever intro is the start of The Dark Side Of The Moon.

Smoke on the Water is great just because everyone knows and loves it. Same with Layla as well I guess
The first 5 bars of the Brahms 2nd Piano Concerto also make for a fantastic intro, not what you might expect in this thread but give it a listen.
Shine on You Crazy Diamond is pretty hot as well now that I think about it and I like the Joe Cocker intro to a Little Help From my Friends as I get all these images of the rain at Woodstock. Queen's Bo Rap isn't half bad either, I believe they thought Freddie had totally lost the plot when he told them what he wanted to do with it.
Then I get to thinking about Chuck Berry, great riffs on the intros.
This could go on for ever and largely depends on what I am listening to at any given time. At the minute I'm listening to the "Linkin' Louisiana Peps" album called "Blues Connection." Anyone any idea who these people are? I've no idea but they are a great blues band with a fantastic harp player.
