Bare knuckle boxing
Been wanting to go watch one for years now but I've never found anywhere that does it.
Have you been to one and what did you think of it?
If you know somewhere that does it in the Midlands let me know.

the knuckles get very dark and u never get rid of the swelling even when your older , i still have mines not as bad as my dads though

yea i'm quite interested in it to but as moses says its illigal so you need to be in the know. read Bartly gormans book king of the gypsys very good read. i even tried looking on kaaza in the past for videos but could'nt find out. theres a gypys lad that trains in the thi boxing gym i go to thats suppossed to be a knuckle man, he's supposed to go round the fair grounds, seems quite handy from what i seen.

something I just noticed about that vid that I missed before - clock the loser before, and just after he comes out to the front - there is no damage. either that vid is edited, or there is some footage missing.

just had a look in bartly gormans book and theres a photo of that fight it says he won £20k for that fight not bad for 7 mins work. it also says that jimmy quinn- mc Donagh is top man, i take it he means he's the best in ireland.

Cool thread -I thought we would get a load of folks complaining about how its a base an vile thing to do etct etc whinge whinge.
I would bet that there is far less brain damage in bare nuckle stuff as you cannot repeatedly give huge punches to the head before your hand or your opponents face falls apart.
