Great deal for Singlepoint customers
My vodafone contract is up end of next month so i sent Singlepoint a letter asking them to cancel it. Well, got a call from Vodafone direct tonight, as basically Singlepoint are no more, and Vodafone have taken control of there customer base. Well the chap started giving me the why are you leaving us ? is it due to blah blah blah, so on and so.
Well the out come was this
Im on the 100 cross minutes anytime with 100 free texts for £22.00 per month, well I couldn’t quite get a new phone out of them for this contract but I’ve ended up with
200 cross minutes anytime + 200 free texts messages and the 1st 6 months yes 6 months is totally free,
free haven’t got to pay a penny, and after the 6 months is up I can swap to whatever price plan I want .
So basically as long as I stay within my minutes I have a free phone for the next 6 months,
so if ur a Singlepoint customer and ur contract is nearly up call them and get a great deal
THIS DEAL IS NOT AVAILABLE IN THE SHOPS, IT’S ONLY VIA VODAFONE THEMSELVES.

Have you commited to another 12 months? Surely you'd want a new phone out of them if your doing that.
I think my singlepoint contract is due for an upgrade so I'll call and find out details.

I could have a new phone but they would shorten the freebie to 3 mths and it would be the same tariff as im on already, plus the phone would be a Nokia 6230 which i already have, so i thought the other option was the better deal

I just got a similar deal, half price first six months + free motorola v980 video phone which isn't actually a bad phone. It a lot better than the siemens I previously had.

hmmn normally when they say 6 mts free what they actually mean is you keep paying you contract rate every month in full and then at two points during the year you send in your bill and they send a payout to you to reimburse your free 6 months

I've been doing that to Singlepoint for the last 3 years for my wifes contract phone.
Each time I told their CS I was going to cancel I got put through to another department. The first 2 years they offered better tariffs, but I told them my wife wanted a new phone as hers was knackered. They told me they didn't do free upgrades so I said 'consider this as my 30 days notice.' Lo and behold 10 minutes later I had the better tariff and a free phone.
The last time it was due was last November. Went through the same story and was told that to get the camera phone my missus wanted we'd have to pay £75. Told them no, so they offered 3 months free line rental as mentioned above in another post, which covered the cost of the phone.
So we got the new phone, 100 X network minutes, 100 free texts and £5 of MMS included.
Dave.
