Missing dog since burglary
Yesterday between 12:30 and 15:30 our house was burgled, taken was my brothers car and our dog they didn't find my car keys so scooby is safe. Police apparently have arrested 2 people and car has been recovered but no dog, please keep and eye out for a staff in the Bexleyheath area southeast or if you hear of one for sale or being pushed around let me know. Details are she goes by the name of JD and is Brindle and White, all paws are white and she has a scare on her back left leg. She has been chipped and speyed. I will post pics soon.
Thanks
rob.

When we got burgled I found our cat (100% house cat) outside in our neighbours front garden We live on a busy main road with a woods on th opposite side so cats get killed on it all the time.
Are you sure that the dog hasn't got out on it's own? Our cat went out of the broken window through the glass He was totally unmarked though
Good luck finding it, I guess you've tried dog rescue?

I heard on the radio recently that there is a growing spate of dogs going missing. Advice given was to publish and display Reward posters (locally around the streets) offering a cash sum for the return of the pet. Reasoning is that the dogs are worth most to their distressed owners and that's the way to get the best price for the animal. The posters should carry a picture, a contact number and in large figures, the cash amount of reward on offer. Don't bother with any other detail because apparently many of these "finders" are not very literate. They cannot contact you in the first instance, because that could raise suspicions about their motives. You have to initiate the reward scheme then that should keep the "finders" clear of any awkward repurcussions. Not a very good choice to make, but you have to decide between your dog and your principals.
Might be worth trying, best of luck.

Something I've just heard - have you a recently arrived gypsy camp as apparently, one of their kids admitted "under interrogation" that it was common practice to nick dogs in the area and tie them up at the entrance to the camp, keep feeding them so they weren't cruel towards them but they acted as early warning devices in case some of the locals wanted an unannounced "chat"
Don't know much about dogs, esp. Staffs (apart from they're solid & heavy when they land on you ) - are they OK as guard dogs - do they make a row against "strangers"?

Hope you get her back soon mate.
I know we would be gutted to loose our rough collie. Always wondered what he would be like if strangers came in. We have had builders round recently, they were given a key so they could come and go as they need. Apparently the soppy mutt just rolls over to have his belly rubbed, some watch dog he makes

hope you find your dog soon, ours went missing over night. After ringing round local vets it turned out someone bought her there shortly after she escaped from our garden.
The vets didn't bother ringing us to let us know :-s
