totally surprised- "EQULIBRIUM" DVD
..looked right a B movie.. but got it free- sat down to watch it tonight..
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0238380/
(well rated too!!!)
first 20 mins- yawn usual sci-fi cliches...
by then end- OMG HOW AMAZING ARE THE ACTION SEQUENCES??????
if you like action movies/HK gun play films GET THIS ASAP!!! sell your aunt, dog, kidneys - but see this film!
the further the film progressed the more impressed I was..
top entertainment. Makes the matrix stuff look VERY weak and 'Ghey'

Very good film indeed. Was watching it on the movie network.
The gun Kata is just amazing.
Then there is the rather lovely Emily Watson as well, there is just *something* about her.

Seen it, thought it was OK, but for some reason I knew
<spoiler alert>
that Sean Pertwee was dead from the start...
As good as the Matrix? Erm no, I don't think so...
A decent film but not the kind that gets multiple viewings IMHO - although the start where they're in the dark room (for ages) was pretty good...

Assume that means it was released in the UK/Europe but not to a wide audience in the US.
Looks like UK release date was 14th March 2003

I got it a while back for a couple of quid because I was bored and fancied watching something. I think it's great. Is it just me, or are there slightly **** undertones going on in it (check out the uniforms, and especially the flags they definately resemble swasticas, or it could just be me!).
I actually thought it was better than the matrix, but I'm sure there are plenty of people on here that would disagree with me.

Its not a bad film, obviously on a tight budget though! The setting reminded me of Chenobl. Agreed Sean Pertwee let the film down and the cheap futuristic esque cars looked tacky!!
