Default A nice bit of ta country right here in London.

I forget what a nice place to be Richmond Park is (esp. this time of year), right on my door step and I hardly ever bother to go in there, shame the speed limit is 20mph, spoils the illusion of being out in the country!

I came over all David Bailey this afternoon (or should that be Arthur Daily?) took some nice shots of a Stag in their, this afternoon with my shiny new camera (IMHO of course). Being community spirited, I thought I would share..:P

"Yeou lucky, lucky, barsteward..."

Went to Kingston Poly (as it was) and lived on Richmond Hill - went through the park every day for 3 years, first by bike, then by Dutton as I got lazy. Brilliant.

Loved going to Pembroke Lodge for a cuppa and a scone on a Sunday afternoon, sitting out looking over the river The Terrace gardens were good too, with their free deckchairs.

<sigh>...

Bushy Park is also nice to be in, with the same speed limit though!

Glad I live in the real country too.

I often used to go to Richmond Park with my dog when I lived in London. Now I've got the real deal on my doorstep - 685 square miles of Yorkshire dales

Did it not let you look at the image?

They're trying to ban bikes from Richmond Park would you believe? And they've been trying to ban traffic for ages!!

I meant a pushbike, which was a fixed-wheel road bike. Picked up some nice speed down Ham dip, but always had to dodge the manholes at the bottom... I'll assume you're either talking about motorbikes (too noisy, scare the deer) or mountainbikes (bloody lycra hooligans)?

I lived in Ham when I was at the Poly. I used the park to do training on my bike if I didn't have time to get out to the Downs - what's the excuse for banning bikes?
I thought there was more danger from the stags than getting hit by a cyclist?

Bushy Park has a 30mph limit, rather than 20mph.

Easy to forget what is right on your doorstep.
