Allders in BIG Trouble
Allders Department Store in Administration ......
Don't know how many on here have one close to them, but the reasons they are in trouble are painfully clear to me ...
Put simply, they ask more money for everything than anyone else! And when they do actually reduce the prices - they are behind the wave (the items have been reduced months earlier in their competitors shops) - so, they don't sell anything!

It costs money to make the country as great as it now is - we must all contribute, can't see what the issue is - we have made £millions out of our properties.
We all have jobs or a job is there if we want one, inflation is lower than it has been for decades, interest rates are rock bottom, crime is down, life is good

I'd say this sort of thread was getting irritating now, but hey I'm getting used to being irritated by both lewis and nl so wgaf. And as he says, we dont have to read the guff. And even if we do read it, it's only for the entertainment value and not for informed opinion

"Earlier this week, the Ernst & Young Item Club group of economists also said taxes would have to rise after the general election to fill a hole in UK public finances."
"Mr Blair would need to announced fresh tax increases worth at least £11bn to pay for his spending plan.
"And those are not my words. They are the words of the independent Institute For Fiscal Studies. Their warning is simple: Blair in, taxes up, again."

Well spare a thought for the companies that are owed money by Alders, ie ours, to the tune of the high end of 6 figures, could well result in some redundancies. Thanks pete, nice to know "your alright jack" as a pensionor you pay sweet fa in taxes anyhow.
