Labour will win again and heres why...
My Political leanings are not important with regard to this issue. Labour will win again it is obvious really. Anyone and everyone who has purchased more than one property wants the status quo to continue. No one with there majority of investment for the future based in property is going to want to risk it collasping by voting anyone else into office. Besides most of the Partys are to similer to offer any majorly noticeable difference in management of the UK. Is my view accurate of how things stand?

...which leads to voter apathy. People thinking 'why bother voting as it won't change anything'.
A slogan a friend of mine spouts when I tell him I can't be bothered to do something, 'Apathy.....because the easiest thing to do is nothing'.
About sums up the state of a lot of the voters

What voters want is a box to tick that says none of the above. Get rid of party politics. No need for this outdated system of representation in this modern age of high speed communication.

i think you are wrong, i think when the next election happens more voters will turn up, than in the last few elections which has had an appaling turn out.
And people who own more than one property who may want the status quo to continue are not the majority, and I would guess that most property owners have been hurt considerbly worse in other investments and tax areas because of this labour government.
And most people are not stupid enough to belive that a government has an effect on worldwide economics and to the end degree the housing market, if they did they have either screwed something up or been exceptional and the labour government has been neither they should not be applauded for the housing boom or the sky high prices as they did not create or diffuse the situation.

Labour will win again and heres why...
"Earlier this week, the Ernst & Young Item Club group of economists also said taxes would have to rise after the general election to fill a hole in UK public finances."
"Mr Blair would need to announced fresh tax increases worth at least £11bn to pay for his spending plan.
"And those are not my words. They are the words of the independent Institute For Fiscal Studies. Their warning is simple: Blair in, taxes up, again."
People in this country have lost the plot.

Most people know that the country is in a great shape and that our leader has affected the worlds economy to a great extent. You only have to look at all the oil pouring out of Iraq which is being used to keep the huge US economy afloat to realise that Tone is one shrewed cookie when it comes to keeping our economy going. The Policy of Labour really is affecting our Mezzo and Micro exsistence in a positive way.

jesus so labour have squandered a £20 billion financial nest egg and provided as with a substational economic debt,
they should not only be ousted at the next election they should be made to pay back every single penny of our money they have wasted.

Anyone got any figures on how much the Iraq campaign has cost the UK so far. It must be money well spent. We are going to see a return on the investment our nation has made for sure.

the house price situation isnt really to do with the government per se, its more to do with the fact that its hard to build new houses due to planning restrictions, the population is growing (mainly by immigration but thats another story), and more people are living on their own. So increasing demand, and not really much supply.... Plus all the buy to let investors of course.....

You get your politics from the television, rather than from reading, don't you?

Show me the money. Is that not the expression voters want to have answered. I can see it now, Labour will win and then a few months later Tone will step down for health reasons and allow Brown to have the power he craves. LOL

Pretty much so,yes. There are slight differences, but nothing major,so in circumstances like that people tend to stick with what they know.

Labour WILL win - of that there is no question
The country is just in the best shape it has been in for a generation
Voter apathy will cost all parties votes - more so the party everyone expects to win (Labour) .... but, even apathy cannot hope to get the Tories back in
Even if just 10% turn out then its still representative of those who cared enough to actually get off their 4rse and do something
To the poster above who asks for a 'None-of-the-Above' box ..... there IS one! Just spoil the paper (write on it NONE) - at least you bothered to use the vote that good people died for

Voting should be a legal requirement.
