Which should get banned?
After watching Watchdog tonight and the laughable anti-4x4 lobbyists I've decided to commision a poll. Now, being a car-related website, I would expect some skewing of the results, however, there are quite a few unhinged members here who will probably vote in a strange way because that's just the way they are, God love 'em.

I don't understand why some have the view that people in 4x4's think of themselves as being greater than other road users, surely BMW and Merc drivers stereotypically fit this description more accurately??

A Fiat Panda Sisley? Yup.
An immense Ford F250 pickup? Nope.
Chairman Ken and the Politburo want to increase congestion charges for 4x4s but if I use a Land Rover Safari in London I don' pay anything because it has 8 seats...

i could be wrong here but i read somewhere that 80+%? of the environmental impact that a vehicle creates is during it's manufacture therefore surely the most environmentally friendly thing to do is not run out and buy new cars, but keep old ones going.
this whole 4x4 issue is a joke. it really lacks any technical merit as an argument in any way.

I think you should only be allowed 4x4 off-roader type vehicles (obviously I dont mean awd cars) if you can prove you can drive one, compared to a car, properly. Trying to watch some dumbass attempting to park a massive shogun thing makes you cringe

You could have given the option of both... 
Agree with the comments about bumper height - there should be a maximum height on where the front bumper can be - most 4x4's seem to have their bumper at toddler head height.

ban SUVs or make them have to have hgv licences & pay higher tax. they cant manouvour normal cars let alone those tanks. They block my visibility so i move out abit i see them straining up to see over me cant see so move out more even at that height cant you see over me? why dont you get something higher like a truck

there should be a seperate catatgory on the driving license for Chelsea tractors.
that way, to be allowed to drive one you should have had to prove competance.
its not so much the vehicles its the daft mums who use them to drive 1 child 2miles to school and want to look good doing it.
there should be cctv and a speed camera outside every single school, to catch and automatically fine people who have scant regard for the highway code
