Default Best Current account?

Im sick of halifax messing me around and charging me for going a few quid over my overdraft by mistake and not increasing it when I ask.

So which banks have the best deals out there? I like online banking so an online account would be ok.

Any sugestions?

Scott

If you have a mortgage, there are plenty out there now that offset everything against that, so in essence you just have a (insert size of mortage) overdraft and you're gradually paying it back.

www.if.com springs to mind

if you're just after a regular account, Im with Barclays, have been since I was 11, and have a nice £1500 free overdraft.

However, I think all banks will charge for going over your overdraft, and they need to draw the line somewhere I guess, if they increase is, in their eyes, you'll just go over that overdraft too?

Sorry cant be much more help.
