Get yourself a landranger series Ordinance Survey map for that area. Any fords present should be marked.

There's one next to Rufford Park in Notts, just off the A614. Wide, shallow, no big bumps in it (unlike the one at the 'Clinic)

ChrisB knows of a good ford, but it isn't too near to Doncaster. LOL

Watch out for the ducks at Rufford Park, there are hundreds of them and they are probably bigger than you!

Theres one just off the A614 south of Doncaster, used to be used a lot on night rallies.
Its between Bothamsall and Elksley. http://uk2.multimap.com/map/browse.c...p.x=288&up.y=4

See if this link works! The ford is deep mind! Its near 'Spitfire Bottoms" just north of Bothamsall. Its at the top of the map between Spitfire Bottoms and Crookford Hill, can you see it?

Spitfire bottom now that brings back memories.

One at clumber is ok as well (esp if you catch a bunch of walkers on the bringe )
