Why do they pronounce it like that? I like to drive the locals mad by insisting on calling it BI-cester as opposed to Bisto as they all prefer.

Best one was during the Dianna Funeral..almost all the media commentators couldn't pronounce

And after her funeral, quite a few people turned up at the local pub in Althorpe, on the Trent near Scun thorpe, to ask for directions to the grave site.
Only about 100 miles out then
