Hi, anyone in the Northeast know if the blue RAC style cameras on the A1 just south of Alnwick are as innocent as they appear? Reason I ask is that my road angel went nuts as I approached them, and I may not have taken it as seriously as I should. Trying to find out if the location around the Felton/Rothbury turnoff used to have a fixed Gatso style camera there, as that would explain things a bit. I know there was one at Stannington a while back, but that's disappeared, presumably 'cos they've closed the junction there now. Anyone been nicked between there and Alnwick .... if so, by what? Could do with putting my mind at rest, so thanks in advance.

The blue cameras up on tall poles (look like CCTV) are part of the "Trafficmaster" congestion monitoring system I believe.
