We used to have radio 1 on at work, listening to Mark and lard and Fat harry White... when they were new the gags were funny...
Utter tripe and unlistenable row on there now so it's Radio 2 all the way...
At home it's Core control on the DAB or Severn sound (local) on the tuner.

Dunno whether I should add this as I'm only 30 but when things get stressfull in the workshop (garage workshop, not Work) on goes Classic FM.

Wink

Used to listen to Radio 270 (Scarborough).
Now: Viking or Lincs FM, but only when they aren't fixated on (c)rap

Radio 4 mostly. A bit of Radio 2 (sat morning with rossy etc.). Sometimes XFM and others I browse through.

As a kid, the local and pirate stations and Radio 1, then I grew up as R1 esp is for generic pop/chart crap these days (as it was then I guess )

Get with the times - you living in the dark ages or what??

Listening to a "radio" Pffft!!

...get all your work mates to bring in their CDs, rip them all to mp3 or wma. Then bung them on a server, or copy to each one's PC and you soon have 20gig of non-stop music without some jumped up arsehole yakking away half the time interupped by the most annoying adverts known to man.

Radio 1 all morning, Moyles makes me smile, may flit over to Steve Wright on 2 in the afternoon to reminice over my youth, independant too ****e only seem to have 10 songs they play over and over and over and then crap ads all day. Mind do wish Virgin was FM further out than London, suppose I should get a car DAB radio, would I get it then?

I'd be stuffed without DAB, I have it in car, and on my clocl radio. It's almost always a choice of 6 Music, The Storm or Planet Rock for me, unless I'm near enough to Brum to pick up Kerrang.
Mustn't forget the occasional Radio 4 for comedies.

Wide, I can get Virgin on DAB up in Shropshire, I even get XFM too.

Martin.

mart360, you left off Radio Luxembourg! For those of us in the "older" group. Keep listening to everything, I do. Never close your mind or ears where music is concerned.

I must read the question fully, I must read the question fully. Like my teacher told me about exams!
Ah yes memories.
Still, not hard nowadays to hear music from the past 50 years everyday. Plus classical of course.
No excuse not to have your feet tapping all day and night.

Another one for pirate radio. Zee100 was excellent in my teens, playing some of the best rave music of the time.
These days it's either Radio4, or my car has an MP3 player with a CD of music from the time when music was good!

A new listener to 6 here also, got DAB in the car. R1 now drives me crackers, and wogan I could shoot on sight

6 is very good in the morning from 7am, george lamb at 10 takes a little bit of getting into, when when you get the jist is very funny.

I won the fictional headline comp on the breakfast show twice this week, which is nice no prizes though
