What camera detector?

What camera detector?
I've always been anti detector as I try to keep to speed limits, or at least those up to 60mph, but as my annual mileage is now up in the 20k + bracket and in a rather spirited drive home from Bolton on Monday my Garmin hand held GPS thingy was showing a rather alarming set of numbers ; maybe it's time to invest in a camera detector........
So, what currently out there gives the best alert to cameras?
Apologies in advance if this question has been posted 150 times in the last month, but I can't be arsed to do a search and check!
TIA
DTS
PS - I'm also aware there is talk of outlawing some devices........

Dave, what do you want to detect, IMO a decent GPS unit which will give you the fixed cameras and likely mobile sites is enough to save the unexpected NIP, especially in unfamiliar areas where you are concentrating on the road more.
The detectors are fine, but they merely give you warning of an impending brown envelope . The alternative is an garage door opener, but legislation to ban these is rumoured.
If you do get the diffuser, make sure you get it tested, lots of faulty units out there.

Matt
Would like to know location of fixed cameras, not bothered if it doesn't differentiate between active ones or not as that's what the brake pedal is for (!) , plus likely sites of mobile ones would be handy.
Not too bothered about detecting hand held devices as it seems those that detect them are the most likely to be banned.
So, am I looking for a Road Angel type thingy?

Spot on, Origin B2 or Road Angel.
Group buy for Origin on Scoobynet at the moment, Road Angel group buy on the MLR.
I have a Road Angel, invaluable to tell me my speed as the speedo on the Evo is crap, there are + for both units, maybe someone who owns/has owned both will contribute.
