Default Cars going in today for repair

Having work done on the car to repair the scratches some scum did a few weeks ago. Claiming through insurance as they scratched most the panels.
Question is, does anyone know if my next insurance premium will be affected. I have protected no claims but will the fact i've had to claim push the renewal price up?

In exactly the same boat mate. If you know who did it and the insurance company are successful in recovering some costs it will have no effect. If you don't know or they can't claim anything back you'll lose about 30%. That's what I was told anyway when mine was vandalised before christmas. Every panel damaged - full repray - £1500. I was lucky, protected no claims covered this last claim. On probation now until sept 06 though

So you found out who done your car then.
Police have said that unless there is a witness they cant do much.
So looks like next insurance renewal is going up more than expected.
If i could only get my hands on the scum that did it.
