Default judt back from the flicks....

bored so got down the flicks for a few movies (sooooo quiet!!!!...only 6 ppl in the showing)

last 2 days seen:

Incredibles.......6.5/10 Not as good animation as Toy Story/Ice Age (although its not supposed to be), not as funny/adult funny as Shrek......just an action cartoon really....needs better writters, plot/script was a bit weak...even for kids!

National Treasure.....Jerry B producing Nic Cage should = SUPERB.......4.5/10 though. Plot was so weal/strectch/stupid/flawed that even Don Simpson would have laughed! To complex for kids (especially all the USA history stuff) yet too stupid for adults....not sure who this was aimed at?

Balde .......10/10 PERFECT Blade film.........just take what we like about blade and do more of it. Cool guns/sound track/fights...everything. The bloke that wrote..."Are you ready to die Blade?" "I was born ready motherfukcer" needs a pat on the back!

T
ps...showcase in Reading (winersh)...still staffed by retards!

I would give incredibles a 9/10. Loved it myself.

I went to the Showcase in Winnersh once and that was enough. Sat down and the chair nearly collapsed (and I aint no fat bastid before anyone jumps in). Low backs so cant lean back in and get comfy. Very cramped leg space and sound was pretty poor.

I now travel the extra and go to Ster Century in Basingstoke. A bitter closer for me admittedly in Arborfield.

I though incredibles was pretty good - not as good as Shrek though. Must get around to seeing Blade. Didnt even know there was a 3rd one planned until I saw the trailer a month or so ago.

Simon.

maybe everyone else read the thread to learn about opinions on recent movies instead of using it to get excited over the typos? just a thought?

Well personally I think its nice to see Tiggs has found something positive to speak about.... maybe its part of his new year's resolution!

Never thought I'd see him award 10/10 to anything!!!

Were you watching the same film as I saw? The animation is far superior to both toy story and ice age. For a start the hair / undergrowth animation is breathtaking, and the character animation demonstrates a far wider range of expressions. More complex backgrounds, better interraction with background scenery / objects etc....

Personally I thought it was a lot funnier than Shrek which to be honest I found a little infantile and annoying (not seen Shrek 2 yet), but it might be just that you need to be tuned into that sort of humour.

Definitely aimed more at adults more than kids (the sort who grew up with the decent bond movies, fu-man-chu). There were a lot of "in-jokes" if you knew what to look for...
