Is smoking cannabis really that bad?
I have read in some places that 1 cannabis spliff either in resin form or leaf form (both mixed with tobacco) is like smoking 20 cigarettes. any truth to this? what are ppls opinions on this. would you be better using pure leaf in a bong and leave the tobacco out entirely.(expensive i know)
cheers

bongs are always going to be better because of the filtering effects of water. I think I read somewhere that gear contains more tar than tobacco anyway, so it's even worse to smoke in the 1st place, despite having no filter.
But then gear is grown naturally without lead based fertilisers, theres alot of talk about tobacco being so bad because of this.

You're kidding right?? The majority of gear would be grown in controlled conditions using just about every trick in the book - legal or illegal - to increase yeild and THC content. I have no doubt that even though it's hard to see GM crops in Supermarkets it's rife on street corners. The last joint I smoked nearly put me on my knee's, then left me shivering in a corner for a week. I doubt that was grown on the allotment! And as for Hash, my good god, that could be a brick of tar and recycled plastic with a few sprinkles of Hippy Crack mixed in.
If you don't want to go mental, stick to the **** and die of cancer instead.

To quote the GLC, ( and they knows what they is talking about)
sort of says it all
Most Soap Bar comes from ******* Holland,
They make it out of oil and tyres and pollen
diesel, mirabar, flat press too
These are the types of soap bar available to you
These little bits of plastic you find inside
You can use those as a quality guide
Of the standard of soap bar that you are smoking,
the more bits of plastic means the better the toking

Dunno about 'scientific data' but my own observations show that those who smake cannabis regularly, become quite dependant on it, and definitely become miserable and VERY VERY lazy...its the best killer of motivation going....

'naturally' probably wasn't the word to use. I meant it hasn't had poisonous chemicals used so much as tobacco, nor is is radioactive (no joke!!)

I always thought Cannabis/weed were pretty harmless. THis is until I met a guy who became a good friend about 2 years ago. This guy is an alcoholic and has been saved with the help of the weekly AA meetings he attends. Anyway, the various 'Anonymous' groups get together once in a while for social events and my mate says that out of all the groups including Cocaine, Food, Heroin and Alcoholics, it was the weed smokers who were the most fvcked up and mentally affected.
I know many heavy weed/pot smokers and without exception, they are all pretty much Space Cadets and are very dopey/dozy and permanently 'monged' even when not partaking in the stuff. I think it slowly turns you into a cabbage..
