So many versions of DVD's....confusing?
Last Samuri in morrisons 1 disc widescreen,in HMV 2 disc widescreen.
Spiderman 2, 2 disc version, box set with 1 and 2,spiderman 1 ,3 disc version, special edition box set spiderman 2 and to top it off, there is now a superbit version of spiderman 1 (whatever superbit is)
Is any the "official" version or are they all okay. What about the 1 disc versions in supermarkets, are they okay too.
(having spent 2k on an AV setup i'd hate to think there are inferior versions about)

"relax, just another way to screw the mug punters"
what do you want?? the film or the film and 56 bits of extras, that will only ever be watched once, and then the extra extra deleted scene that adds 26 seconds to the final version yours for a collectors price of £56
watch the film and call it a day..
you wouldnt do this to a book would you now..

2 disc versions are the norm now, although recently 1 disc versions have been released along side the 2 disc. The spidy box containing both films is more of a cash in. Superbit is a superior transfer but doesnt contain any extras due to the memory a superbit transfer takes.

Are the one disc versions sold at supermarkets the same quality as the 2 disc ones from HMV?
I heard that some of the supermarket ones are imported?

i paid £17.99 for "a beautiful mind"when it came out....saw it today for £6.99....you end up feeling like you've been had.I'm very reluctant now to pay more than £10 for a dvd.
