Sequel to Once Were Warriors. Has anyone seen it and is it good??

I'd say it's even more bleak and depressing than Once Were Warriors, and not quite as good.

I think Once Were Warriors was one out of the bag; good acting, gritty urban background and fairly believable plot.

The second movie didn't come close; watching it, I got the impression the writer was trying too hard to come up with a sale-able sequel - and failed.

Mainly tries to portray Jake the Muss as good guy gone bad, going back to good, sort of a 'man alone seeks revenge for his wronged brother' type movie.

Didn't come across as a Kiwi film anymore, too much pandering to the American backers for my taste.
