Come on Scooby Netters....put your hand in your pockets
The disaster in South East Asia is just horrific, its looking like over 100,000 people have lost their lives, with over 5 million suffering. There has never been such an International disaster like this one, so many countries affected, some of these people didnt have much in the first place, now they have nothing. Without our help disease will be rife and many more could lose their lives.
These people need your (our) help, so please make a donation, no matter how small, its bound to help. The Red Cross are leading the collection effort and you can pay over the web. Or most Banks and Building Societies will accept donations.
We've all had a good Christmas, comon Guys make an effort.
Thanks.......

Did you know there are 162,104 charities registered in England and Wales? 45% of charity income going to the top 460 charities...

I and my family were supposed to currently be in the Maldives for a family holiday - thank God we didn't go!
I've pledged £250 to Oxfam and The Red Cross already and may look to give more over the next week or so.
As I see it we've got to help - most of those who were lucky enough to survive currently have their lives in ruin and face a significant chance that they could die due to disease or famine.
The Red Cross' donation site is here: http://www.bluepeter.redcross.org.uk...eal/appeal.htm

I was very disturbed after watching tonights special report on the BBC @ 19:30, so much so I felt physically sick watching it.
Just given £50 to Oxfam instead of buying some other materialistic crap I was going to buy for my motorbike.
If there is a God he truly is a ******* w@anker...

I'm sorry, but IMHO, this is important enough to be in "SCOOBYNET GENERAL", where it will be seen by far more people !!!!

Can we keep it on the front page?
Looks like we all really care, though it doesnt really matter with the STICKY.
Good work guys, the programme on BBC was well done but it was heartwrenching. My son, who really cant afford it jumped onto the web and made a donation.

Just donated £50 at http://www.dec.org.uk
Apparently the British people have donated £10m since the advert with David Dimbleby was broadcast last night.
The DEC online payments site is groaning a bit under volume of traffic but it's still working, they apparently have 3000 phone lines donated by BT too.

That is good to hear, I still reckon this weeks lottery ticket sales should be given to the charity instead of the normal way it gets split up.
Mind you having said that can you imagine how pissed off you'd be if you got all 6 numbers and then didn't get a penny because your winnings were going to the Wave fund..

We've all clubbed in to make a decent donation, again not going to let on how much as ANY amount in this type of situation is acceptable.
You can deposit donations at any barclays bank, they have set up a special account for taking donations and it's a free service.
My thoughts go out to these poor people caught up in this awful situation, the pictures shown on TV are enough to make a full grown man cry
