I was told the FM transmitter (which is illegal as it is basically a pirate radio station transitting onto FM air waves) was rubbish and the quality isnt any good. Which one have you got thats good?

Need something for the car, probably just go for the cassette adaptor

I bought myself an Ipod for my birthday at the beginning of the month, next months accessory is the Ipod link from www.denison.com

Yes the Itrip is illegal in the uk as its an unlicenced FM transmitter.

Agree with the "Illegal in the UK" statement about the iTrip.

As for it being crappy, well, depends on where you live. In Canada I've not had a problem with it, but have had a wee problem over here. I was using 87.9 as the frequency and as I moved from Tunbridge Wells down to Hastings, there were stations broadcasting on nearby frequencies and thus they clashed with the reception. a bit of retuning, no problem at all.

As for the quality when you find a 'dead' station, it's not too bad actually, ok, so it's never going to be the same as using a stereo in jack, but it's not that bad. A cassette adaptor would be good, and the ice link even better.

Well I got a archos Jukebox...20gig Mp3 USB v2...2 years ago this christmas and still doesn't miss a beat

Plus it takes NiMH AA batteries so (now lasts 13-14 hours on 2000mAh batteries as opposed to original's 10) - no sending back to apple for new batteries

Pete, as your daughter must be well over 65 as you are at least 90 , do you think that she will be able to keep up with the new fangled gaget?

Best to budget on a pension thou, good choice

Funny? I've never said I was 90 - 76 is old enough thank you, and that makes my daughter anything from 0 years old - to, what? 62 years?

So, for all you know she could be 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55 or 62 ....................... (or any age between!) so, your logic is slightly flawed wouldn't you say?!

Oh, yes, yoza ....... an iPod is the type of device that hooks the 'followers' of this world and steals all their money off them, its for people for whom image is everything - substance, nothing. Leaders follow their own path and make secure choices in the name of reason and sense

This 76 year old has forgotten more than you will ever know!!

He was on the cutting edge of technology when you were still wetting your nappies - and he remains so

I'm surprised that Apple supply cr4p earphones with their 'fashion' toy ...... but then again, they could make it only output in MONO and the 'badge brigade' will STILL buy them!
