Motor Investigation Agency
I have a man from the MIA coming round tonight to compile a report on behalf of my insurers (Tesco) regarding the crash i had back in August.
Hes requesting i have the following to hand:
Insurance Document
V5
Sale Of Car Document
All MOTS
Service History
Does this mean theyre trying to find anything that will work in my favour??

Thing about undeclared mods is that the isurers base their risk & your premium on the declared value of the car. If its more powerful & covered with sticky on bits etc, that is not the risk that they've undertaken to insure, so rightfully can get narked about it & refuse to insure you. Or more likely, pay out, then come knocking on your door for re-imbursement.

surely as its not his fault and its on the other insurance to pay out, they should pay for the value of the damage. What he's got on the car should be no concern to them. Maybe Tesco have changed now, but when i had someone hit my car - as I didn't get Tesco to pay out and reclaim it - i waited for the other side to pay up - the "risk" taken by my insurer had no bearing.
