Default Where can I buy a sledge?

want one for my kids Xmas pressie, after a basic plastic one, but with handles on the side.

Only seen them in one garden centre near me they had plastic ones with no handles - £8, plastic "traditional" ones £34 and wooden ones £50+

Been to B&Q, 4 different garden centres, Woolies and running out of ideas!

cheers,

Greg

Costco do them - if you're near Derby let me know and I'll go in with you and buy one!

£15 for a snow board type thing - dead cool! I bought two for going away to Scotland at New Year

(has handles on the sides and even bloody brakes at the back!)

My dad made me a sledge when I was young, and I still have it now 29 years later, and I love it dearly. Its made out of 1 inch stainless steel pipe, bent into shape with bit of scrap wood on top as a seat. Its looks old and trashy, its the rusty Austin Allegro of the sledge world. But once the runners have a shine on them, it turns into the Ferrari F1 of sledges, it has never been outrun in straight race, and has been known to kill a few plastic sledges if they ever get in the way.

Bit of a ramble, but why not have a go at making one yourself?
