Most breeds have a specific rescue service I think but obviously the one for Rotties is probably not in Derbyshire. I understand the Labrador one is in Sheffield, that could be a good one to start with to find out further info.

I know and whatever you do DONT phone them up or they've got you.
It's really sad to read about all those Labs (and other dogs) from Ireland that are being shot because no one wants them
They're bringing over so many different breeds into this country to save them from being exterminated, really sad, i'd love to take one but i think my 14 year old lab would croak if i brought in a young fit dog

we went to see benson today the horny rottie
he was soooo cute got on really well, and arranged to have a trial (take him home and never take him back) on monday, he pulled a little but at first but within 10 short minutes he was being very attentive and happy, licked me all over my face, I was like yeah hes perfect
hes only a little smaller than louise, but she seemed to cope whist she had him on the lead
fingers crossed he will be fine, been out an bought £40 worth of food toys chewies etc tonight so he will be very happy (i hope)
so chuffed always wanted a rottie

yeah tell me about it,
cant believe how lucky we are, hes just so good, hes been treated like **** in the past as well.
hes just got the most adorable personality, even though he snores like a platoon of squaddies, it actually shakes the floor sometimes lol
