Deffo British squaddies. The person who did the recce for that beach assault probably got a few extra duties. I also wouldn't want to have to clean those weapons afterwards. Knowing the SA80 as I do, they might as well throw them in the bin.
Funniest bit was the guy whose life preserver inflated. He probably got a bill for that as well.

But I must admit it looked atrifle 'stagged' to me.
And I did think it was Weston mind you, if you look close you can see they ar trying to out flank the pier
