TomTom Go - current map accuracy
Just bought the great TTG and its been a pretty good purchase in all aspects.
I know I know- its been queried before, and I understand its acceptable that its not 100% perfect. As proven by using it for work and it had a roundabout and a road that didnt exist - but they both been there for a atleast 2 years. Fair enough.
However went to visit 'Mumma' Marky-San and found that a motorway junction wasnt on it! The whole junction has been there for 5 years + now (I remember as thats when I started my current job).
Anomalies aside, surely theres summit wrong if a 5 yr old motorway junction is not on the map software provided? Also, i believe TT purchase said maps, so this isnt a dig at them either.
Went on internet - and streetmap and map24 also have them all missing (except the motorway junction).
Just wondered - who actually has THE most up to date mapping layout?

I noticed a few odd things today, roads that could'nt have been around for at least 5 years showing on the map. Oh and it telling me to "Go left on the roundabout, Fifth exit!" We go right on the roundabouts don't we?? Does that one all the time.

I use Navigator 3 as opposed to 'Go' but I guess they use the same data source; a few anomolies I've noticed:
- Woking's not in the gazeteer - hardly an unknown place is it?
- The Syresham/Silverstone A43 bypass isn't included
- and neither is the A41 bypass round Wendover
- It doesn't recognise the M3 from J8 towards the M25 - it thinks it's the A303
Still a blinding piece of kit though.
Cheers

I believe tomtom go has newer versions of the maps than tt3. Does the m6 toll exist in tomtom go, it doesnt in tt3.
Kav, try updating tomtom to v3.07 from their website as it solves quiet a few address lookup problems. A number of places that were mysteriously missing now work.

The maps come from TeleAtlas, who supply the streetmap ones used on www.multimaps.com as well. A road near me has the wrong name on TTG, and multimaps has the same error.
It is possible to report errors (although it looks a bit tedious...)
