Ok - so we're unlikely to get a whole forum - but I think SNers could offer each other a huge service along any of the following lines:
Chrissy Pressie ideas
Recipes
Last posting dates etc etc etc
There's bound to be loads of threads about all this stuff over the next few weeks - why not keep it all in one place?
My starter for ten:

Fab for well priced chrissy fun stuff!

To the lot of you - I don't think the title of the thread was in anyway misleading. If you hate chrissy then - erm - oh I know - don't open the thread!

If it had been posted in a "Festive Forum" then I wouldn't have gone near it. As it was posted in NSR, heart of Scoobynet's anti Christmas movement, I thought it might be an opportunity to have a good old moan about Christmas and all the negative effects it has on society!

Best Christmas quote ever I heard MANY years ago from a market stall holder. I was buying some holly in the busy week before Christamas and whilst trying to serve 4 customers at once he said "Thank God there's only one Christmas" Yyyyeeeeeaaaaasssssss

The problem with Christmas is it's over celebrated and lasts far too long.
Basically as far as doing business in the UK is concerned December doesn't exist - the country may as well put up a sign saying 'Closed until Jan 3rd'.
Then there's the over commercialisation of it, the even worse than usual TV, pantomimes, over full shops, panic buying .....
Bah Humbug
Seriously though, I'll bow out now and leave it to the Xmas Scoobynetters!
tiggers.

Do I take this to mean you'd prefer to work than to party....? (Makes note not to invite tiggers to any of my parties.....)

There's nothing wrong with parties.... its the incessant xmas music, decorations, people SEETHING into shops like a feeding frenzy, the disruption to our lives, spending money buying things people don't really want and having them spending money on things you don't really want. Its gruesome.
I went to B&Q on the weekend to buy some essential parts for an aquarium project I am working on. It took an HOUR to get out the fecking shopping precint because of SWARMS of people all buying tat for each other. Completely uneccessary disruption and I'd rather not be a part of it - that fact I have no choice makes me resentful of Christmas.

Beats me why Christmas gets the blame for peoples shopping habits. Would seem that greedy manufacturers and retailers are the culprits. (Christmas itself being a religious festival and all)
I love the fact that once a year I get to spend time with all my family and closest friends and we exchange (reasonably priced) gifts as tokens to say thanks for being great people and have loads of fun together. Plus all the chrissy lights everywhere really brighten up the dull long December nights.
I just switch off to the hype and enjoy the spirit (and spirits!) of the season. If you hate that then fair enough - I shall take my tinsel, fairy lights and good will elsewhere and cross you all off my party list so
