Wow! Absolutely no comments!
I expected at least a few whinges along the lines of "it wasn't as good as last week"!
Personally I found the porsche article quite amusing last night. James May really got the **** when his engine sprayed oil all over his nicely detailed engine bay!

Really enjoyed the Porsche thing, me and the Mrs were killing ourselves laughing at James when the oil sprayed all over the engine bay and Richard getting -1500 points for not being able to sell his car, LOL

nearly wet myself with laughter over the "James was demonstrating his new spoiler" comment by RH after the boot lock failed.
Funniest TG in ages - absolutely brilliant entertainment

Glad you liked it guys - it was however a bit too 'light ent' for me. HALF the programme was devoted to that extended and ultimately pointless Porsche bangers feature. That told me as much as caravan conkers - but at least they kept that to a very forgivable 5mins.
Granted there is not going to be a new M5 or S4 every week to review and shred the tyres on joyrider stylee, but that feature was just WAAAAY too long and jackanory.
Just my thoughts
Edit seems to have worked though : BBC2 raced ahead of its elder sibling last night as motoring show Top Gear in the ratings took 4.8 million (18%) at 8pm. BBC1 fell to its lowest Sunday night performance since May.

Was the 6 series actually in it - must have nodded off... And yes UB - people need the return of that annoying Linda Barkery type female (but horsier) advising us on boot dimensions and the 'good beat' of the radio!

I personally thought the porsche bit was good but way too predictable. When they do these tests Clarkson always buys a dump of a car and gets crap scores yet makes an amazing sale at the end to come through as winner.
Its just too scripted to make me believe any of its real.
Cant remember the last one they did - previous series. They all bought old cars like volvos and saabs. Exact same thing really.
Simon.
