Cool Edinburgh To London

Anyone coming down in the near future? Or maybe Edinburgh to somewhere else in the South East?

Got a box (fragile) that needs bringing down if anyone is up for it - pay something towards expenses etc

I know - I work for a courier company & am asking this Unfortunately its a personal thing for one of my directors and it's too fragile to pass throught the overnight systems out there.

PM or eMail as per profile.

Ta!

I can get it from Edinburgh to Darlington next Wednesday. From Darlington South I have no immediate plans. How big is it ? Could it reasonably be carried onto the train at Darlington. Because of the chaotic road system driving to London is not something you undertake lightly and the train is the most sensible option. Might be able to get it even further South but that would be the week after. Cheltenham or even Essex ?

James
I shall be in Perthshire over New Year, something may be possible if you haven't fixed it by then - you couldn't get anyone closer this end!

Might possibly be good to get it to York tomorrow if still available?

You're asking for this on a performance car forum!

I'd offer in a few weeks (date unknown yet) but you really don't want anything fragile in the back of my Leggy as I hurtle down the A701 in the non-tourist season.

PS who do you work for who thinks parcels are less likely to get broken in a scoob than in your vans, so I know not so send good through them :P

Ah the old A701! I came back from Edinburgh down the A702 , Abington, M6 etc route last half term. A702 was such a nice road. Made excellent progress in the old widearse, right up to the point my 5yo daughter blew chunks in the back seat. Oh how the cars we'd overtaken laughed as they passed me hosing her down with Evian in the layby LOL
Still, Edinburgh city centre to South East Essex in under 8 hours...excellent drive LOL My wife was following with her parents and got home 3 hours later LOL
Cman (just sitting telling stories with absoloutely no relevance, like the crazy old man I've become)

Oi James! Bet it wasn't mid-day on a Saturday on a half-term motorway rush though! With a car loaded with your kids and a sense of responsibility that only that can engender LOL
Still, nice run you made there

Lucky to get out of Edinburgh city centre within 8 hours these days .... feckin' traffic

Drive the A702 every day......full of prats who have come straight off the motorway and haven't quite noticed that the road now has somewhat sharper turns in it, only one lane on either side, and these strange things called blind summits that make excellent overtaking opportunities for BMW reps
